In the event of disagreement between the employer and the Director on the choice of the person to be hired as the second Director, the Employer shall submit to the Director a list of three (3) qualified persons, one (1) of whom would be admitted as the second Director, and the Director shall approve one (1) of these three (3) persons. If the producer wishes to modify a film for distribution on DVD, basic cable, on the national territory in new media or in flight, you must inform about the time to add or remove and any page changes, modify the new version or view the changes in the same way as you would edit them or be consulted as part of changes for television. (7-509 (g)) If a cinematographic film is authorized by the employer for exhibition on a national basic cable service, on the national territory in new media, for a national exhibition on board or for the national distribution of video discs/ video cassettes and the employer publishes this film in its own facilities in the United States, the director has the right to process the English version of the film without additional compensation. Any disagreement regarding the provisions of this paragraph 7-404 may be the subject of arbitration proceedings, but the employer may not be prevented from completing the work in question. In deciding this dispute, the arbitrator is guided by the fact that the parties have agreed that the list below is a list of examples of circumstances that cannot reasonably be foreseen before the commencement of the main photograph and that may serve as a basis for enlarging the second unit during the main photograph. This list is not intended to include such circumstances exhaustively. The DGA agreements include the Basic Agreement (BA), which covers projects recorded on film under an agreement with the Association of Motion Picture and Telefilm Producers (AMPTP) and applies to directors, assistant directors and unit production managers who work in film and television.

The Freelance Live and Tape Television Agreement (FLTTA) applies to video and live projects and applies to directors, associate directors, internship directors and production associates who work in this field. This section also includes contracts and/or information on advertisements, documentation, experimental projects, industrial films, Internet/mobile projects, low-budget films, reality TV and DGA contracts with different TV channels.
